1. Don't trace. Put your blank piece of paper right up next to each head study example. Copy with a pen or pencil as precisely as possible both of these sheets. If you have questions about the measurements, ask me. Commit these measurements to heart. When you are finished with your artwork email me a scan or photograph.
2. You're not done yet! Next I want you to draw these drawings again, as precisely as possible with one exception--the lines should breathe! (You should have already finished the breathing line assignment.) One more thing--this time you must draw the studies from memory! That means no looking at the printouts or at your first drawings. Once you have finished the memory drawings, you can compare them to the original drawings.
3. If you have made mistakes, memorize the mistakes and correct your memory drawings without looking at the original drawings. This way you will train your mind to remember visual details, and hopefully you will have a much better feel for the dimensions of the head. When you are finished with your artwork email me a scan or photograph.
